For much of my adult life, I've been interested in photography. The hobby started as I began taking camera underwater with me while diving. I started with disposable u/w cameras, moved to a Reefmaster 35mm, then finally to an Olympus C4040Z digital. Around the time I purchased the Olympus, my interested in topside photography had grown. After several years of shooting with the Oly, it was time to move on and I now shoot with a Nikon D70 digital SLR.

Most of my topside photography is focused around nature and macro compositions. I started by focusing on saltwater aquarium photographs but quickly moved beyond that. My camera has become a way for me to express myself artistically without being restricted by my lack of talent in other areas of the arts. I can't paint or draw (they always look like engineering schematics), my few attempts at sculpting were frightening, and while I thoroughly enjoy playing my guitar I have no rythym so most others don't get quite the same enjoyment from it!. Photography allows me to show the beauty I see in the world through the eye of the lens. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
